How delivery works, step by step
You order
Provide your shipping address (residential or business both work).
Dispatch (2-5 business days)
The warehouse packs and ships. Steel hoods travel in a wooden crate with foam protection.
LTL carrier delivery
Freight requires a delivery appointment. The carrier will call or text to schedule — keep your phone reachable; a missed appointment re-queues you 1-3 days.
Delivery & inspection
Check the crate before signing. Visible damage? Photograph it before accepting. Then film your unboxing — it's your ticket to a no-argument damage claim (claim process).
How we pack it
Steel hoods are big, awkward, and dent-prone. We don't gamble on a cardboard box. Every hood ships in a reinforced wooden crate with a foam-padded interior — standard packaging, no extra charge.
Why this matters. Most hood returns aren't about the part — they're about the box. A dented flange or a scraped primer means a body-shop delay before you can even paint. Crating costs us more, but it costs you fewer headaches. If anything does arrive off, our 30-day policy covers transit damage — just photograph the crate within 24 hours.

How is the hood packaged for shipping?
Every hood ships in a reinforced wooden crate with a foam-padded interior — not a cardboard box. The crate resists crushing during LTL freight, and the foam protects the black primer finish from scratches.
Does the wooden crate cost extra?
No. Crating and foam padding are included in the price — it's our standard way of shipping a steel panel, not an add-on.
What if my hood arrives damaged?
Inspect the crate within 24 hours of delivery and photograph any damage before opening it. Email us the photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund under our 30-day policy. Damage in transit is on us.
How long until it arrives?
Dispatch 2-5 business days + transit 3-7 business days depending on distance from the warehouse. Typically 1-2 weeks door-to-door — versus 30-45 days for ocean-freight imports.
Do they deliver to my door?
LTL is curbside delivery: the driver sets the crate on the ground; no garage, no stairs. A hood panel weighs 40-50 lb — two people carry it easily.
What about liftgate service?
If your address has no loading dock or forklift, liftgate is required. We include liftgate for residential addresses by default — no extra charge.
Alaska / Hawaii / international?
The included freight covers the lower 48. AK/HI and international: contact us for a quote.
Can I pick it up?
Yes — the warehouse is in the western US. Pickup details are sent after ordering.
