Paint or vinyl wrap — which should I choose?
Both work on the black primer surface, so you are not locked in. Paint matches your Jeep's factory color exactly and looks OEM — budget $300–600 at a body shop or $80–150 DIY. Choose it if you want a stock look. Vinyl wrap (or a decal/livery) is reversible, protects the primer underneath, and lets you run matte, contrast or brand graphics without committing to a color — best for personalization or protecting resale value. Either way the hood ships in black primer; you can paint it, wrap it, or run it bare (primer gives basic rust protection).
Does this Gladiator hood fit a Wrangler JL or JK?
It fits Gladiator JT 2020+. It is the same verified-compatible part as our JL hood, but it does not fit Wrangler JK (2007-2018). The JT Mojave variant is also excluded. See the fitment chart →
